Rocking a glittery emerald suit fit for a king, Queen Latifah lets it be known that she's the all-powerful Wizard of Oz in the latest trailer from NBC's The Wiz Live!
NBC released a new promo for the production Monday - just weeks after a teaser showed Tin Man (Ne-Yo), the Cowardly Lion (David Alan Grier) and Dorothy (Shanice Williams) easing on down the yellow brick road.
In this clip, which includes a glimpse at a choreographed routine set to the musical's hit, "A Brand New Day," we see The Wizard of Oz booming out to her subjects, as well as a first look at Common in costume as a bouncer (who for some reason wears a Bluetooth headset) and Uzo Aduba as Glinda the Good Witch. The Wiz Live! is an adaptation of the Broadway musical The Wiz and 1978 film starring Diana Ross.
