It'll be a long, cold couple of months until The Walking Dead returns for the second half of Season 9, but at least it's going to break up the February doldrums: The midseason premiere of AMC's zombie drama arrives Sunday, Feb. 10.

The date announcement came during Sunday's Talking Dead, where it was also announced that Season 3 of Ride with Norman Reedus -- the guy who plays Daryl's motorcycle show -- will premiere that same night at midnight. AMC also released a sneak peek at the back half of the season, which you can watch above!

Season 9B will find the survivors dealing with a new adversary -- skin-suited weirdos the Whisperers -- while also struggling with inter-community issues, such as Michonne's (Danai Gurira) willingness to let the struggling Kingdom fail, as well as the escape and attempted restoration of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as leader of the Sanctuary.

Season 9, which saw the exit of longtime series star Andrew Lincoln in Episode 5, has so far been the best-received season of The Walking Dead in years. It has the highest user score on TV Guide's sister site Metacritic since Season 5. Hopefully the back half of the season doesn't waste this momentum.

The Walking Dead Season 9B premieres Sunday, Feb. 10 at 9/8c on AMC.
