It's coming to AMC Premiere this Sunday
There's no way to write this without saying "premiere" a bunch of times, so I'm just gonna go for it: The Walking Dead's Season 9 midseason premiere is coming to AMC Premiere -- AMC's premium subscription service -- on Feb. 3, a week in advance of its cable premiere Feb. 10, Deadline reports. The Greg Nicotero-directed episode, "Adaptation," will be available to subscribers starting on the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday.
AMC Premiere is a $5-a-month upgrade to your existing cable package that allows you to stream AMC series ad-free -- which should be really enticing for The Walking Dead superfans, because it feels like it has ad breaks every three minutes on TV.
AMC has experimented with making The Walking Dead available in advance before -- last fall's Season 9 midseason premiere was made available on AMC Premiere a day in advance of the TV premiere, leading to a record number of sign-ups, according to the network.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9/8c on AMC. Previous seasons are available to stream on Netflix, while Season 9 is available on -- you guessed it -- AMC Premiere.
