Starring in one of the biggest shows on TV usually means you get paid top dollar, and Norman Reedus is further proof of that. According to a survey of salaries obtained by Variety, the actor makes $1 million per episode of The Walking Dead, which averages to about $16 million per year. That kind of money gets you all the pumpkin spice lattes you could ever dream of.
The salary also puts him on par with the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who will each make about $1.1 million per episode of their untitled mourning show drama for Apple TV. However, having a popular show doesn't necessarily guarantee you a 7-figure check when it comes to streaming platforms.
Queer Eye might be one of Netflix's most well-received reality series, but stars Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France only make about $7,500 per episode for the eight-episode seasons. Their paychecks pale in comparison to those of the stars of Stranger Things, who are among Netflix's highest-paid actors. Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown rake in a whopping $350k per episode while Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Noah Schnapp all bring in $250k per episode.
Over on the CW, the Riverdale kids are paid modestly compared to the stars of other buzzy shows. Stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse and Camila Mendes all make around $40k per episode, but that really adds up when you factor in that each season consists of 22 episodes.
