The Walking Dead's Chandler Riggs Books TV Return

Break out the chocolate pudding, because Coral's back!

Chandler Riggs -- best known for playing Carl Grimes on The Walking Dead -- will be joining ABC's family drama A Million Little Things for a multi-episode arc this season, TV Guide has confirmed.

According to TVLine, which first reported the news, Riggs will play PJ, a young man who Rome (Romany Malco) meets. Like Rome, who struggles with depression, PJ has dealt with some difficult stuff. Their meeting is significant in ways they don't even realize at the time. Riggs is currently booked for two episodes.

This marks Riggs' first TV gig since leaving The Walking Dead early last year when his character was killed off. "Four days ago i was almost unemployed for a full year," Riggs tweeted Monday. "Right now i'm sitting on the set of season one of an incredible tv show for my first day of work. Life changes really drastically really quickly."

Riggs played Carl Grimes, son of then-protagonist Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) on the AMC zombie drama from 2010 to 2018. Lincoln has since left the show, but will appear in a trilogy of Walking Dead movies.

A Million Little Things airs Thursdays at 9/8c on AMC.
