The Walking Dead Cast's Farewell Messages to Andrew Lincoln Will Get You Choked Up

Watch a sweet tribute to the exiting star

The Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln's last episode as Rick Grimes airs this Sunday. Lincoln has already said his farewell. Now it's his co-stars' turn to say goodbye to him. AMC assembled a tribute video of heartfelt thank yous from some of the many folks Lincoln has shared the screen with over the years. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll be convinced of what a mensch Andy Lincoln must be.

The late Scott Wilson -- who will be making a special guest appearance in the episode -- starts the video, simply saying "Andrew Lincoln" before seemingly getting a little choked up trying to articulate what Lincoln means to him. Lauren Cohan, Norman Reedus, Alanna Masterson, Danai Gurira, Ross Marquand, Avi Nash, Josh McDermitt, Khary Payton, Seth Gilliam, Sonequa Martin-Green, Pollyanna McIntosh, Katelyn Nacon, IronE Singleton, Michael Cudlitz (wearing a fake Abraham mustache), Chad Coleman, Austin Nichols, Lennie James and Steven Yeun all pay their respects, intercut with fun behind-the-scenes photos from the set.

Should You Keep Watching The Walking Dead Without Rick Grimes?

My favorite anecdote comes from Eugene portrayer Josh McDermitt, who recalls that on his first day, Lincoln came in on his day off to meet him and Michael Cudlitz and Christian Serratos. "I thought 'Wow, what a great guy,'" he says.

You won't want to miss Lincoln's final episode of The Walking Dead when it airs Sunday, Nov. 4 at 9/8c on AMC.
