Apparently Grease: Live!didn't up the ante for most audacious live television event enough. Fox is planning a live episode of The Simpsons, it announced Monday. Wait, how exactly is that going to work?

Here's how: The May 15 episode of the animated comedy will feature a 3-minute live segment in which Homer (voiced by Dan Castellaneta) will discuss topical subjects and answer fan questions -- off the cuff. Castellaneta will do separate segments for the East and West Coast broadcasts.

"As far as I know, this is the first time that's been done by any animated show," Al Jean told The Hollywood Reporter. The segment will fit organically into the episode, which is about improv comedy. "And Dan is a great improviser," Jean adds.

If you want Homer to answer your question, tweet it with the hashtag #HomerLive between May 1 and May 4

The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8/7c on Fox.
