Amazon's anthology series The Romanoffs is like Kanye West's "All of the Lights:" everybody's on the guest list. As seen in the trailer, the show features Aaron Eckhart, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Amanda Peet, Corey Stoll, Paul Reiser, Noah Wyle, Diane Lane, Kerry Bishe, Isabelle Huppert, Andrew Rannells, Griffin Dunne, Kathryn Hahn, Ron Livingston and so on and so forth.
The Romanoffs is Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner's first show since that all-time great series ended in 2015. Each of the first season's eight episodes tells a different story about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the exiled Russian royal family. It was shot in seven different countries across three continents.
The first two episodes — "The Violet Hour" starring Marthe Keller and Aaron Eckhart and "The Royal We" starring Corey Stoll, Kerry Bishe, Noah Wylie and Janet Montgomery — premiere Friday, Oct. 12 on Amazon Prime. Subsequent episodes will come out on Fridays.
