Even though our girl crush Jenna Dewan only appears for a few seconds in this exclusive first look at The Resident's second season, we are super into what she's putting down.

A medical device representative, Dewan's character Julian Lynn is described as having warmth, beauty and charisma, and it looks like she's putting those skills to use on Devon (Manish Dayal) in the short clip above. Sure, it's just a giggle and some flirty eyes, but we are definitely keeping our eyes on that situation when The Resident returns.

Of course, it isn't The Resident if there's not a disaster going on somewhere. So while Julian and Devon are having a nice *moment*, the rest of the hospital is in chaos after a storm knocks out the power grid. Without generators, the hospital is in danger of having a lot of patients die on its watch, so everyone needs to be on their A-game. In a show where freak accidents happen on even the best of days, this storm is undoubtedly going to be stressful for every person on staff.

To make matters worse, there's barely any noticeable sexual tension between Conrad (Matt Czuchry) and Nic (Emily VanCamp), so how on Earth are we supposed to make it through this mess?
