We've got less than a month until The Originals Season 5 premieres, and now we finally have a trailer thanks to TVLine.

The most notable part of the trailer is the introduction of Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell). While we got a short shot of her in the trailer released at San Diego Comic Con last year, this trailer gave us a definitive look at Hope within the narrative of Season 5, and that girl is fierce! She's determined to save her family, no matter what.

The next exciting tease is that it appears The Hollow may not be a problem for much longer. Not only did we see scenes with the Originals all together — something that should be impossible thanks to the ritual keeping The Hollow apart — we also saw a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of a ritual that looked eerily like the one that started their separation. Has Freya (Riley Voekel) finally found a solution that will allow the Mikaelson siblings to reunite?

Matt Davis Joins The Originals Spin-Off Focused on Hope Mikaelson

Notably absent from the trailer was The Vampire Diaries' Caroline (Candice King), who will appear in the premiere episode and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who we could only spot in the background once or twice.

We did, however, get the tiniest tease of Declan (Torrance Coombs), Hayley's new love interest. From the dreamy look on her face as he caressed her cheek, it looks like her shattered relationship with Elijah (Daniel Gillies) might be the furthest thing from her mind.

The Originals premieres April 18 at 9/8c on The CW.

(Full Disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, The CW's parent company.)
