Jennifer Aniston Hates This Morning Show Segment for a Very Good Reason

See what else the cast of The Morning Show hates about morning shows

The new series The Morning Show promises to peel back the curtain on the messy behind-the-scenes drama that goes on when the cameras aren't rolling on our favorite AM gab fests, with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon playing journalists whose worlds collide after a sexual harassment scandal ousts Steve Carell's Mitch Kessler from The Morning Show. But believe it or not, the stars of the super expensive, prestige project from Apple TV+ have little faith in their abilities to actually host a morning show.

TV Guide recently spoke with the show's impressive high-caliber cast, and although Witherspoon is a morning person, Aniston is not and said she'd be better suited to host a late-night show instead. Meanwhile, Mark Duplass, who plays Chip Black, The Morning Show's exasperated executive producer, is not impressed by the regular cooking segments on morning shows since they're not "organic." (We can tell that isn't the food you just cooked, guys!)

So check out the video above to see why Billy Crudup, who stars as the opportunistic network head Cory Ellison, and the rest of the Morning Show cast think they'd make terrible morning show hosts -- and which of the sometimes dopey segments really get under their skin. We have two words for you: pet costumes.

The Morning Show premieres Nov. 1 on Apple TV+. Find out more about the new streaming service here.
