The Magicians Renewed for Season 4

The Magicians has officially been renewed for Season 4!

Syfy's hit fantasy series is only about halfway through its third season, but the network has already renewed it for another year. This early renewal is a pleasant but not unexpected surprise, considering it's been Syfy's top performing scripted series among P18-49 (L3) for the last three years.

The Magicians follows Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) and his magical friends at Brakebills University as they learn magic (and sometimes lose it) while simultaneously trying to govern the not-so-fictional world of Fillory and dodging run-ins with gods. Their abilities range from teleportation to mind-reading to time-traveling, but they quickly learn that magic often creates more problems than it solves. The most recent season sent these characters on a quest to restore magic after it was ripped away from the world when Quentin killed a god.

The 13-episode fourth season will premiere on Syfy in 2019.

The Magicians airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Syfy.
