Based on the Pulitzer-Prize winning book of the same name, the upcoming Hulu original delves into the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA may have inadvertently cleared the way for the tragic events on Sept. 11, 2001.
In the first look at the series, FBI supervisor John O'Neill (Daniels) is convinced that Al-Qaeda has targeted the United States for an attack, but faces opposition from his counterparts at the CIA. He enlists young FBI agent Ali Soufan (Rahim) to help him investigate the potential terrorist attack.
Sarsgaard also stars as Washington D.C.-based CIA analyst Martin Schmidt while Baldwin steps into the role of CIA director George Tenet, who served under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
The Looming Tower premieres Wednesday, Feb. 28 on Hulu.
