The Sanderson boys are sticking around

It looks like the Grinder isn't quite ready to rest his case. Fox ordered a full season of the freshman comedy on Tuesday.

The Grinder stars Rob Lowe as Dean Sanderson, an actor famous for his role as a lawyer on TV, who now feels qualified to work in his family's law firm, much to the chagrin of his brother Stewart (Fred Savage), an actual practicing attorney.

"The Grinder is the perfect combination of razor-sharp wit and relatable family dynamics -- two hallmarks of successful comedies," said David Madden, president of entertainment at Fox, in a statement.

Over the last four weeks, The Grinder has averaged a 1.5 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 4.5 million viewers overall. The series is only the second comedy to receive a full season thus far, after ABC's Dr. Ken.

The Grinder is currently on a brief hiatus during Fox's coverage of the World Series. It will return on Tuesday at 9:30/8:30c, unless a sixth game is required.
