The Good Place Sneak Peek: Eleanor Wants to Remember Her 'I Love You' to Chidi

Well, fork. Eleanor (Kristen Bell) now knows she once told Chidi (William Jackson Harper) she loves him on The Good Place and it has her pretty shook. Obviously, that confession came during the most evolved reset of the neighborhood when the humans were still dead, and a lot of things have changed since then -- but Eleanor still has questions, as to be expected.

In our exclusive clip from Thursday's episode, Eleanor is begging Michael (Ted Danson) to give her the memory back so she can understand how it happened. Her time back on Earth -- specifically, seeing her con artist mom find happiness -- has Eleanor realizing she's never made a meaningful connection with another person and Michael's slip-up has her desperate to see if that's actually true. But can she actually find out?

Michael and Janet (D'arcy Carden) both evaded The Judge (Maya Rudolph) to stay on Earth with the humans, but the cost is all of their higher power powers. That means Michael can't give Eleanor the memory back, even if he wanted to, not to mention the effect it could have on the group dynamics as a whole once they're all reunited. This could be the truth bomb that blows up their mission to better the world for good.
