[WARNING: If you don't want any The Good Place Season 3 spoilers then get out of this post! We are telling you for your own risk!]
The Good Place proved that it is still one of the smartest, funniest shows on television by having one of the smartest and funniest panels during San Diego Comic-Con 2018.
The cast and producers assembled in the Indigo Ballroom on Saturday morning to share their favorite parts about being on the show and secrets from behind the scenes -- including showing everyone in the room the first two minutes of Season 3, which revealed quite a bit!
The next season will start with Michael (Ted Danson) meeting the ornery The Guard (Mike O'Malley), who controls eternal beings' access to Earth. After handing over his paperwork, Michael goes to Earth to reverse the death of the four humans -- Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Jason (Manny Jucinto) and Tahani (Jameela Jamil). Before he undoes their deaths though, Michael informs The Guard that it will start a new timeline and could have some "ripple effects," which sounds super not good. Will giant flying shrimp terrorize the real world as well?
Aside from the ominous foreshadowing, we also learned that Michael has motion sickness and is overwhelmed by the idea of a Pizza Hut and Taco Bell combination restaurant. Who can blame him though?
Here's a few other Good Place secrets we learned from the panel.
1. Kristen Bell doesn't eat shrimp: The actress has been a vegetarian since she was 11-years old and since she grew up in Michigan she's never had any kind of seafood. The prop department makes the shrimp out of faux-meat that they paint to look like the favorite cocktail treat.
2. Jameela and Manny's kiss in Season 1 was their seventh kiss ever: We aren't talking about screen kisses. Both Manny Jacinto and Jameela Jamil had only kissed six other people before their first lip lock for The Good Place. Kristen Bell and D'Arcy Carden feel kiss-shamed by this number because their count is much higher.
3. Kristen and Ted are the only actors that think they'd make it to the Good Place: The panel got a little bit dark when a fan asked which of the cast and producers think they'd make it to the Good Place after they die. It got darker when only Kristen and Ted said they'd make it -- everyone else is very cynical.
Parks and Recretion Trivia Nugget Bonus: Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation's intense hatred of his birthday and refusal to let anyone know what day it is was inspired by line-producer Morgan Sackett, who also is in charge of making sure that Mike Schur's insane vision for The Good Place comes to life.
The Good Place returns Thursday, Sept. 27 at 8/9c on NBC.
