The world has gone mad in Season 2 of The Good Fight with lawyers being killed off at an alarming rate and paranoia spreading in the air. The psychological warfare has reached its way to the firm and, more specifically, to Diana (Christine Baranski), who is struggling to make sense of what's happening.

In this exclusive preview of Sunday's episode, she sits down with Liz Reddick-Lawrence (Audra McDonald), the firm's potential new partner who also happens to be the ex-wife of Adrian (Delroy Lindo), to commiserate over current events and contemplate a new career path.

"I just don't know what's going on in the world anymore. It doesn't make any sense. It's not just bad, it's insane," Diane says in the preview.

Liz, on the other hand, doesn't appear to be worried and downplays the recent murders. "Every generation has its different insane," she tells a spooked Diane, who then suggests switching to a more meaningful occupation like a pastry chef. Given the dangerous world they're living in, a job in the food industry does seem like a much safer bet.

"People aren't shooting up pastry chefs," Liz adds.

However, Diane might want to keep her eye out for Liz. Her potential new co-worker might be playing nice for now but we have a feeling she'll show her true colors pretty soon.

New episodes of The Good Fight arrive Sundays on CBS All Access.
