The Fosters Mega Buzz: Callie Is Forced to Confront Her Rapist's Mother

Poor Callie (Maia Mitchell) can't catch a break on The Fosters. She starts working on a photo essay that she hopes will help her build the trust she needs to feel safe in the Adams-Foster household -- but initially, it has the opposite effect.

As she documents the seven homes she's lived in, one of Callie's first stops is back to the Olmstead house, where she was raped by her foster brother Liam (Brandon W. Jones) a few years ago. There, she has a tense, eye-opening encounter with Liam's mother that will set her on a different path for the remainder of the season. Mitchell tells us that Callie's experience there makes her realize that she needs to revisit her former homes "in a more intimate way" in order to get closure.
