We're about to welcome a baby on The Flash, but this little bundle of joy has come with one major downside: Cecille's (Danielle Nicolet) uncontrollable telepathic abilities.
Thanks to some testing from Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), we know that these meta abilities are temporary, but lately we've learned they're also very fluid. Just last week, Cecille was accidentally taking on the thoughts and personalities of others around her thanks to said powers. Though they've been more of a nuisance than anything, we can't help but wonder if Cecille's powers might end up being the secret weapon Team Flash needs to outthink DeVoe (Neil Sandilands).
"As she's getting closer and closer to delivering the baby, her powers are morphing slightly," showrunner Todd Helbing tells TV Guide. "It's going to be a key factor in how they get inside DeVoe's head."
Here's hoping Cecille can get a hold of these powers long enough to stop The Enlightenment.
Regardless of how this epic showdown between Barry (Grant Gustin) and DeVoe shakes out, we at least know one thing for certain: We're finally going to learn the identity of the Mystery Girl (Jessica Parker Kennedy) that's been bumping into the team all year.
"Just as it seems like there aren't any more mysteries or problems to solve for Team Flash, they get this unexpected answer," Helbing says of the Mystery Girl's big reveal. "It leads into a bigger question of what's going to happen in Season 5 with Barry and Iris and the rest of the team."
The Flash finale airs Tuesday, May 22 at 8/7c on The CW.
(Full Disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, of of The CW's parent company.)
