Things are about to get intense on The Expanse as the sci-fi series heads to Amazon Prime Video for its fourth season.

In a video posted to the show's official Twitter feed, actor Burn Gorman reveals — in full uniform dress, no less — that he has joined the cast of the series as Adolphus Murtry and that production on this new leg of the series is almost complete.

"Hey screaming firehawks, and to the rest of the universe, I am Burn Gorman, and I am extremely excited to announce that I will be playing the role of Adolphus Murtry in Season 4 of The Expanse on Prime Video," Gorman says in the video. "We are wrapping Season 4 this week, but I can't wait for you to see what we have been cooking up. It's been a hell of a ride."

Here's When The Expanse Season 3 Heads to Amazon Prime Video

Murtry appears in the fourth book of James S.A. Corey's series, titled Cibola Burn. The character begins as the chief security officer for RCE on the Edward Israel and, after an ambush, takes what remains of his team onto the planet Ilus and takes charge of the First Landing settlement by force. He rules the citizens with martial law and merciless execution and develops a feud with Jim Holden (Steven Strait).

Following the show's cancellation on Syfy, The Expanse was saved when Amazon Studios picked up the series for its fourth season.

There's been no word yet on the exact date when fans can expect The Expanse Season 4 to launch on Amazon, although the series is expected sometime this year. The streaming service will, however, make the show's third season available starting Friday, Feb. 8.
