Weigh in on The Brink and Ballers
Sunday nights on HBO this summer are shaping up to look like a who's who of the early aughts. Following Rachel Adams and Colin Farrell's debut in the premiere of True Detective Season 2, HBO will air two new comedies starring Jack Black and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Where every Game of Thrones character left off
Ballers, which premieres Sunday, June 21 at 10/9c, stars Johnson as former NFL star Spencer Strasmore as he spends his retirement mentoring other players and reinventing himself as a financial manager.
The dark comedy The Brinkpremieres immediately afterward at 10:30/9:30c. In the midst of a geopolitical crisis, three men -- a crass foreign service officer (Black), the kinky U.S. Secretary of State (Tim Robbins) and a Navy fighter pilot (Pablo Schreiber) -- become unlikely heroes.
