Here's Why The Blacklist Isn't On Tonight

Never fear, Red will be back soon!

Season 6 of The Blacklisthas just barely begun, but we're still going to have to say goodbye to it briefly because the series won't actually air a new episode this Friday, Jan. 25. Instead, NBC viewers will be treated to some ice skating: the 2019 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Friday's 8/7c slot will go to the Ladies Free Skate.

Never fear though! If you're totally loving this prison storyline Raymond Reddington (James Spader) is rocking right now, The Blacklist won't be gone for long. The hiatus will only last one week, and you'll get back to your regularly scheduled cell-block knife fight next Friday, Feb. 1. Episode 5, entitled "Alter Ego," will see Red argue in court to uphold the validity of his immunity agreement. Sounds like a good plan, but we all know it won't be that easy for Red to talk his way out of prison.

The Blacklist airs Fridays at 9/8c on NBC.
