After spending some time in prison with Red (James Spader) last season, and following the reveal in the finale that Liz's mother, Katarina (Laila Robins), is actually alive, The Blacklist is now primed to return for an even stronger Season 7, complete with more dysfunctional dynamics from the quasi-family at its center.
Unfortunately, we won't find out what happened to Red after Katarina injected him with the syringe until the NBC drama returns in early October, but TV Guide has got your exclusive first look at the key art for the new season, which hopefully will tide you over until then.
The black-and-white poster prominently features Red, Red's hat, and Liz (Megan Boone), but it's really the tagline for the new season that sticks out: "He told you not to trust him." OK, that might actually be the understatement of the year when it comes to this show.
You can check out the poster below.
The Blacklist Season 7 premieres Friday, Oct. 4 at 8/7c on NBC.
