Update 11/20/18: The Blacklist's two-hour premiere will now be a two-day premiere, with the first part airing Thursday, Jan. 3 at 10/9c and the second part on Friday, Jan 4 at 9/8c. This marks a change: NBC had previously announced that the James Spader-led action drama's sixth season would premiere Friday, Jan. 4 with a two-hour special; now, NBC will air part one on Thursday, an encore of part one on Friday at 8/7c and the second part at 8/7c. The Blacklist's regular timeslot will continue to be at Fridays at 9/8c as previously reported.

NBC also announced that beginning Dec. 14, upon conclusion of the fall finale for Blindspot on Friday, Dec. 7 at 9/8c, Midnight, Texas will shift to Fridays at 8/7c. Dateline will follow at 10/9c.

The Blacklist is moving to Fridays with a bang this January.

Following the Season 5 finale's shocking revelation that Raymond "Red" Reddington (Spader) isn't the real Red Reddington, Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) is torn between the relationship she's developed with the man she believed to be her father and her desire to get to the bottom of his years of secrets and lies. Meanwhile, Red leads Liz and the FBI to some of the most strange and dangerous Blacklist criminals yet, growing his empire and eliminating rivals in the process. All throughout, Liz and Red engage in an uneasy cat-and-mouse game in which lines will be crossed and the truth will be revealed.

The Blacklist's two-day, two-part premiere begins Thursdays, Jan. 3 at 10/9c on NBC with part two airing Friday, Jan. 4 at 9/8c. Subsequent episodes will also air at 9/8c. Seasons 1-5 are available to stream on Netflix.
