The first official trailer for The BFG is everything you want it to be: magical, exhilarating and kind of scary.
In the two-minute preview, we see the beginning of Sophie's (Ruby Barhill) journey as she gets snatched by the Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance) and whisked off to the strange world of Giant Country. Although Sophie soon discovers the BFG more than lives up to his moniker, there are other dangers for her to contend with in his world. Namely, giants Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement).
The anticipated Roald Dahl adaptation, directed by Steven Spielberg, hits theaters July 1. Check out the full trailer below.
