It's always nerve-wracking when one of your favorite childhood books is adapted into a blockbuster movie, but based on this trailer for The BFG, we can rest easy.

The Steven Spielberg film, which was the last to be written by the late Melissa Mathison, stars Mark Rylance as the titular giant and Ruby Barhill as Sophie, the young orphan who befriends the BFG. Bill Hader and Jemaine Clement star as the more typical and villainous giants, Bloodbottler and Fleshlumpeater, respectively. Together, the BFG and Sophia must convince Queen Victoria (Penelope Wilton) and her maid Mary (Rebecca Hall) to help get rid of the giants once and for all. That is, once they succeed in convincing her royal highness that giants even exist.

The BFG is slated for a July 2016 release. Check out the full trailer below.
