The Bacheloralum Cristy Caserta died Thursday, Oct. 4 at the age of 38, TMZ reports.

Caserta seemingly suffered a seizure while attending class in Sunrise, Florida. Paramedics found her in cardiac arrest and attempted CPR before transporting Caserta to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. Caserta was believed to be in good health prior to this and her cause of death is pending.

In 2011, Caserta competed on Season 15 of The Bachelor, where she vied for Brad Womack's heart, but she was eliminated during the first week. Several members of Bachelor Nation shared their condolences in statements to Us Weekly, including Emily Maynard, who briefly was engaged to Womack after their time on The Bachelor together.

"Being on a show like The Bachelor, you truly form relationships that are so special because it's an experience no one else can relate to. I'm grateful for my memories with Cristy and will be praying for her family and friends," Maynard said.

"I'm absolutely heartbroken about Cristy," shared Ashley Spivey, another contestant from Caserta's season. "She was one of the kindest people I met on the first night of the show and she continued to be an amazing friend. She was as smart and funny as she was beautiful. She will be deeply missed in this world."

In addition to appearing on The Bachelor, Caserta was a corporate attorney.
