It's a stunner

Arie Luyendyk Jr. got down on one knee for the second time this Bachelor season on Tuesday's live After the Final Rose special, asking Lauren Burnham to marry him.

Arie put Lauren through a lot to get to that proposal -- he told her was so in love with her, but then he chose Becca Kufrin over her, only to realize he made a mistake and break off his engagement to Becca and come crawling back to her -- so he had to give her a striking rock to try to make up for it. A dramatic season deserves a dramatic ring, you know?

Here are the details on the ring, via People: it's a handmade platinum and diamond ring that's over 3.5 carats and designed by Bachelor ring supplier Neil Lane himself. It features a cushion-cut center stone surrounded by 170 small accent diamonds all around. It's a stunner.

According to Lane, Arie was drawn to this ring when choosing the ring he gave to Becca, and commented that it would be perfect for Lauren.

"When I was told he'd broken off his engagement to Becca and was considering proposing to Lauren, I offered him a selection of rings...but he ended up picking the same one for Lauren that so intrigued him in the first place, back in Peru," Lane told People. "It was like kismet."

The Bachelor's Bekah Says Arie DM'd Her After He Dumped Becca

Lane said Lauren's ring is "way more bold" than the one Arie chose for Becca. "It is one of the most highly decorated rings I've ever done," he said.

If Lauren and Arie stay together for two years, the ring is theirs. Becca's ring has probably already been returned to Neil Lane to be sent to "ring heaven."

The Bachelorette with Becca premieres May 28 on ABC.
