Prepare to Fall in Love With The 100's New Ray of Sunshine, Jordan Green

Someone, please protect this precious angel!

The 100Season 6 won't just introduce our heroes to a whole new, totally bonkers planet, it will also introduce the sweetest and most adorkable human being any of them have ever met: Jordan Jasper Green (Shannon Kook).

At the end of Season 5, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy (Bob Morley) woke up to a video package from Harper (Chelsey Reist) and Monty (Christopher Larkin) chronicling their lives aboard Elegius IV after deciding not to go into cryosleep. Instead, they grew old together aboard the ship and raised their son, Jordan, together. Predictably, having grown up without war, apocalypses, or any life-or-death stakes, Jordan is an adorable, easy-going, and sort of naive kid who's about to be thrown into a handful of totally new experiences.

Kook told reporters who visited the set of The 100 last fall that Jordan will be experiencing a lot of firsts that will be pretty overwhelming for him. After all, he's never talked to another person besides his parents, he's never stepped foot off of Elegius IV, and he's never even breathed regular air!

"I tried to mark all those tiny things," Kook said. "There's so many simple things that you look past, you know, day-to-day, and I was really trying to take in the planet and the people. I was trying to fit in all those moments by seeing, you know, a female for the first time that's not my mother, and Jordan is dealing with all these new experiences of relating to people that he's grown up idolizing. And now I think he also feels a sense of, like, he's almost the puppy or the new one. I don't know, the new kid."

Calling him a puppy is probably the best descriptor for this kid. And much like a puppy, he's going to need to be protected from the harsh, cruel world for as long as possible. After all, Harper and Monty did beg Bellamy and Clarke to look after their son, and that's not a request either of them will take lightly. In fact, Kook described Jordan's relationship with Clarke and Bellamy as a sort of "father-mother-son relationship."

The 100 Season 6 Probably Won't Be the Last

Unfortunately, like Madi (Lola Flanery), Jordan grew up listening to tales of his parents' adventures, and he's going to be pretty eager to finally interact with all his favorite "characters."

"He's grown his whole life learning about all their storylines and things," Kook said. "Murphy (Richard Harmon) is his favorite character, which is so interesting. It's not who you would expect, especially because of his parents, but I think Jordan -- he mirrors his parents in their idealistic and kind natures, but he also has a propensity for rebelling and bending the rules,... He's come from an idealistic, structured mindset, but also, he really has to find himself in the storyline because he's battling between honoring his parents and what he's been told by the battle-hardened heroes of the story, but then also trying to listen to his own heart."

The 100 returns Tuesday, April 30 at 9/8c on The CW.
