The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa and Joe Giudice were released Tuesday on $500,000 bond each after being indicted on federal fraud charges, TMZ.com reports.

The couple are accused of inflating their income while applying for loans before their Bravo show debuted in 2009, only to then hide their improving finances in a bankruptcy filing after the first season aired. The 39-count indictment includes charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud.

Celebrities who've survived scandal

Teresa Giudice, 41, and Giuseppe aka "Joe" Giudice, 43, surrendered to authorities Monday. On condition of their release, the couple had to surrender their passports and cannot travel outside of New York and New Jersey. Additionaly, Joe will have to submit to drug testing because he is not a U.S. citizen.

The Giudices, who face 30 years in prison, are expected in federal court on Aug. 14 to be arraigned.
