Taylor Swift Named Her Adorable New Kitten After an SVU Character

Taylor Swift has a new furry friend.

The singer posted a photo on Instagram Wednesday of a white kitten, which she's named after one of her favorite television characters. "Meet Olivia Benson," Swift captioned the photo, referencing the detective played by Mariska Hargitay on Law & Order: SVU.

This isn't the first time Swift has given a pet a name rooted in pop culture. In 2011, she adopted a cat named Meredith after Ellen Pompeo's titular character on Grey's Anatomy.
