Walking Dead's Companion Show Talking Dead Renewed for Season 5

AMC has renewed The Walking Dead companion show Talking Dead for a fifth season, the network announced Saturday.

Talking Dead's fourth season debuted to 5.1 million viewers, rising to a new record 6 million viewers after Walking Dead's midseason finale.The news comes less than three months after AMC renewed The Walking Dead for a fifth season.

Where does AMC go from here?

On Friday, host Chris Hardwick told reporters at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour that Talking Dead was as good as renewed. "As far as I know, I think the show is doing well enough that it's beating NBC," he said during a panel for his Comedy Central show @midnight. "As long as they want me to come back, I'll do it."

Both The Walking Dead and Talking Dead will return Sunday, Feb. 9.
