Susan Boyle on success: "I don't want my dream to end"

Based on the Official Charts Co., which tracks music sales in Britain, the Scottish singer's album — released in the U.S. on Nov. 23 — was the fastest-selling album so far this year and had the largest first-week sales for a debut album in U.K. chart history, according to The Associated Press.

How did the phenomenon begin? Check out Boyle's first Talent performance

Boyle, 48, became an international singing sensation after performing "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical Les Miserables on Britain's Got Talent. Though she finished second in the competition, her popularity soared after 300 million YouTube views of the performance.

Boyle will next be seen in her own hourlong special on the TV Guide Network. Susan Boyle: I Dreamed a Dream will chronicle her rise to fame from rural Scotland to YouTube sensation and will include interviews with friends, fans and Boyle herself. The special airs Sunday, Dec. 13 at 8/7c.
