Don't Worry, There's More Adorable Flirting Coming for Brainy and Nia on Supergirl

We are here for this!

Supergirl may have left romance behind when it comes to Kara's (Melissa Beniost) storyline this year, but that doesn't mean it's off the table for everyone!

Brainy's (Jesse Rath) not so nice run-in with the anti-alien pizza shop owner was kind of a bummer, but it did introduce him to Nia Nal (Nicole Maines), who came this close to kicking the those guys' asses on Brainy's behalf. She may not be Dreamer yet, but that's a pretty heroic meet-cute! Their little romance is barely off to the races right now, but executive producer Robert Rovner promises that we haven't seen the last of their adorably awkward dynamic yet.

"Circumstances conspire to have them cross paths as the season continues," Rovner says. "What's great about Brainy is that, because he's from the future and does know Dream Girl in the future, he can help her on her path to becoming a hero."

"I guess the question is after seeing this episode is... does Brainy know who she is? Has he made that connection yet? How much does he know? And what knowing effects the future?" Rath adds.

Whatever he knows or doesn't know, it won't stop Nia from trying her best to flirt with him though! "I feel for Nicole because flirting with Brainy is like a really hard thing -- I just give her nothing. She's got to do all the heavy lifting."

Something tells us that won't be too much of a problem. Women on Supergirl rarely have trouble doing the bulk of the work!
