Suits isn't done sizzling up the small screen just yet; USA Network has announced that the legal drama has been renewed for a ninth and final season, consisting of 10 episodes.
The show's eighth season, which is due to return from its midseason hiatus this evening, marked Suits' first run without Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle on board as Mike Ross and Rachel Zane. In their place, the show introduced Katherine Heigl as Samantha Wheeler, who now has her name on the firm's wall, whether she likes it or not, alongside Alex Williams (Dulé Hill).
As promised by Heigl, the character has brought an interesting dynamic to the show, with her penchant for cat-and-mouse games and refusal to take orders from anyone.
In a statement regarding the final season renewal, Suits creator Aaron Korsh thanked fans for sticking with the show and added, "I look forward to enraging and hopefully sometimes delighting you with the final episodes."
Suits will return for the second half of Season 8 starting tonight at 10/9c on USA Network.
