Suits Is Renewed for Season 8 — But Who Isn't Coming Back?

It looks like Suitsis returning for Season 8... but there will be major changes on the show.

TV Guide has learned that the USA Network drama is moving forward without Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle). It was previously announced that Markle, who is set to marry Prince Harry in May, would be exiting the series after this season but now we have confirmation that her on-screen beau will also be departing.

Adams spoke up about his exit from the series, thanking his cast and crew and the fans who've his supported his character over the years.

"It's hard for me to imagine what words, in what order would sufficiently express my love and gratitude to all of the people who have made the last seven years possible," he said in a statement per The Hollywood Reporter. "From my unbelievably talented cast mates to our relentlessly committed crew, to the brilliant minds at USA, UCP and Hypnotic, to the legions of fans all over the world, every one of them dedicating so much of their time, energy and talent to make Suits what it is today -- one of the most beloved and successful shows on television. So I will choose the simplest words I have. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. It has been an honor working with and for each and everyone one of you."

USA also announced that the second half of Season 7 is slated to premiere on Wednesday, March 28 at 9/8c. The back half of the season, which finds Psych alum Dulé Hill upgraded to series regular, will see Harvey attempt to cope with Jessica (Gina Torres) losing her license while also processing how that game-changing kiss with Donna affects his relationship with Paula (Christina Cole).

Plus, Mike will continue to struggle with balancing his commitment to the firm with his passion for pro bono work and his upcoming nuptials to Rachel. Meanwhile, Louis (Rick Hoffman) faces a moral dilemma as his affair with Sheila (Rachael Harris) intensifies.

The season will culminate with a two-hour finale which will also bid farewell to Markle and Adams' much-loved characters.

Suits will resume Season 7 on Wednesday, March 28 at 9/8c on USA.
