New Stranger Things Trailer Teases That This Will Be The Worst Summer Ever

The evil in Hawkins is bigger and badder than anyone expected

How the residents of Hawkins continue to live in Hawkins, Indiana, in Season 3 of Stranger Things remains a mystery. The town is constantly plagued by otherworldly beasts, government interference, super secret government programs, and crazy weather. But hey, that Starcourt Mall looks pretty cool, so maybe that's the big draw.

The Starcourt Mall is also a huge focal point in the brand new Stranger Things 3 trailer, and it looks pretty cool if it weren't for the apparent return of the Demogorgon. Even Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is confused/shocked by what its reappearance means since she's pretty sure she closed the gate, keeping everything in the Upside Down out. But maybe when she closed it all the evil wasn't back inside yet?

In the lead-up to the new season, the promos have been teasing that "one summer can change everything," and from the looks of the new trailer, nothing will be the same after the Summer of 1985. These kids have all seen pretty bad things, but this may be the worst thing Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max (Sadie Sink), babysitter/dad Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) have ever been up against. Even Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) are worried -- but they're prepared to fight, no matter what comes their way.

Also Billy (Dacre Montgomery) too... but the evil in the town might have other plans for him.

Hopefully you've already canceled your Fourth of July plans, because Stranger Things 3 drops on Netflix July 4.
