Hashim Pew, the son of Storage Wars: Miamistar Kevin Pew, has been charged with first-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed a family friend during a viewing party, the Sun Sentinelreports.

Hashim and Kevin Pew were at a viewing party in Florida to watch the show on Oct. 13 when Hashim, 23, allegedly shot and killed Janel Hamilton, 19, according to the Sun Sentinel. Authorities are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting. The party was being held at the Pew family's townhouse, where Hashim and his mother were living. Hamilton, who is the goddaughter of Hashim's mother and had recently returned from attending high school in England, was staying at the house.

Police were called to the home around 10 p.m. and arrested Hashim, who is charged with premeditated murder. They recovered a .45-caliber handgun from the scene, which had been stolen during a 2008 burglary in central Florida, according to the Sun Sentinel.
