Stephen King will make a cameo appearance on the upcoming season of Sons of Anarchy, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Hal Holbrook joins Sons of Anarchy's third season

The 62-year-old author will play a quiet loner who shows up during Gemma's (Katey Sagal) time of need, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the news. King, a fan of the FX drama, will appear in the third episode of the upcoming third season.

Season 3 of Sons of Anarchy will premiere in September.
