Jon Cryer, Two and a Half Men, Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series:"In a year when nothing much has happened on our show and you could barely find a word about me or my co-stars on the Internet, it is lovely to be recognized by the academy in this way!"

Mad Men, Modern Family, Boardwalk Empire dominate Emmy nominations

Chuck Lorre, executive producer of three shows with nominations: "A big day for the Bang! Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, the entire cast and crew -- we're all levitating. I also got to wake up this morning to the great news that Jon Cryer for Two and a Half Men and Melissa McCarthy for Mike & Molly have been acknowledged by the TV academy.  ... Now if the U.S. government doesn't go into receivership, it'll be an all-around perfect day."

Emmys: Mad Men's Matt Weiner on January Jones' pregnancy and the story behind "The Suitcase"

Paul Reubens, Pee Wee Herman on Broadway, Outstanding Variety Special: "I can't adequately describe the joy I have felt from the fans who welcomed Pee-wee Herman back with such open arms and lots of laughter. I am so happy and grateful for this recognition from the TV academy, and for the support I feel in being welcomed back by the industry I love. I share this honor with HBO, the extraordinary team of technicians and artists who helped both with the Broadway production of the show and the television version. The secret word is gratitude. I am deeply moved to receive this nomination."

Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife, Lead Actress in a Drama Series: "I am so excited that our show, The Good Wife, has been recognized in such a big way this year. It is very gratifing to work with such an amazing cast, crew, producers, and writers. I feel very lucky."

Kelly Macdonald, Boardwalk Empire, Supporting Actress in a Drama Series: "I'm very proud to be part of Boardwalk Empire and thrilled that so many people I work with received recognition this morning."

Cat Deeley, So You Think You Can Dance, Reality Host: "To be acknowledged by those who make some of the best television in the world is something I never would have dreamed was possible coming to America six years ago.  It's completely overwhelming for me to be included with the other longtime nominees.  It's a very exciting day!"

Emmys surprises and snubs: Kyra's out, but Game of Thrones is in!

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, executive producers of Game of Thrones, Outstanding Drama Series: "These nominations are great honors for the various individuals singled out, but the truth is that hundreds of people worked on Game of Thrones, setting up lights at five in the morning, sewing wolf sigils on Sunday evenings, forging Valyrian steel daggers. The crew and production staff work insane hours and their credits flash by in the blink of an eye at the end of each episode. We thank them for their passion and commitment to the show, and we thank the Academy for recognizing their labors. And of course thanks to HBO and George R.R. Martin."

Emmy nominee Chris Colfer on graduating from Glee: It's definitely not my choice

Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire, Lead Actor in a Drama Series: "I'm so appreciative of the support Boardwalk's been given.  It's the role of a lifetime."

Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory, Lead Actor in a Comedy Series: "Firstly, may I say how much more civilized it is to hear the nominations while on the East Coast, where they occur after 8 a.m.? Secondly, I am over the moon that our show was nominated. I am so proud to be a part of The Big Bang Theory always — so this chance for the whole team to be recognized and celebrate together is really thrilling. And, finally, I am so damn happy for Johnny Galecki.  We have worked side by side for over four years now, so believe me when I tell you how richly deserved this is for him."

Johnny Galecki, The Big Bang Theory, Lead Actor in a Comedy Series: "All the coffee in Colombia could not catch my brain up to my heart's pace this morning ... And I am absolutely ecstatic that the show itself and everyone's hard work there has been recognized as well."

Matt LeBlanc, Episodes, Lead Actor in a Comedy Series: "I'm honored to be considered and very proud of our show. Everyone worked so hard, and I'm even more excited about the writing nomination for Jeffrey and David.  They definitely deserve it.  I'm looking forward to going back to work soon on Season 2.  It's going to be a blast."
