He was the voice of Boba Fett
The Star Wars family lost one of their own on Christmas Day when Jason Wingreen passed away at age 95, his son confirms to Entertainment Weekly.
Wingreen was the original voice of Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back. The actor followed up the blockbuster appearance with a seven-year stint as the bartender on All in the Family.

Wingreen's resume also includes featured roles in They Only Kill Their Masters, Airplane!and Star Trek: The Original Series. Wingreen told StarTrek.com in 2014 that even if his part in Star Wars was small, it forever changed his life.
"I've signed a lot of photos of Boba Fett," he said. "I was living a quiet, peaceful, unencumbered life until that news broke, and when the news came out in a Star Warsmagazine, for which I'd done an interview, the letters just never stopped."
Wingreen is survived by his son, Ned, two grandchildren and his sister, Harriet Wingreen and her family.
