CBS All Access' Star Trek: Discovery has added three Klingons to the ever-growing cast.

Chris Obi (Roots) will play T'Kuvma, a Klingon leader looking to unite the various houses. Shazad Latif (Penny Dreadful) will play Koi, T'Kuvma's protégé and the Commanding Officer of the Klingons. Mary Chieffo will play L'Rell, the Battle Deck Commander of the Klingon ship.

The trio joins the previously announced cast members Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones and Anthony Rapp, who play members of Starfleet. Discovery's main character, a female lieutenant commander, has yet to be cast.

Star Trek: Discovery is set 10 years before the original Star Trek series and will debut its premiere episode on CBS in May. The drama will then move exclusively to CBS' digital streaming service CBS All Access.

(Full Disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS.)
