Here's who he's playing in Season 4

Supergirl's fourth season will be blessed by true Star Trek royalty. Brent Spiner, who played the lovable sentient android Data on The Next Generation (and four Star Trek feature films including First Contact) will make his way to National City to be Lynda Carter's right-hand man.

Spiner will recur as Vice President Baker, who is described as "adept and politically-minded." Although an unlikely leader, he'll "step up in a big way when his country needs him most." With two Karas running around and Agent Liberty (Samuel Witwer) staging an all-out war against the aliens protecting the planet (which includes Supergirl), the city could use a guy like him now more than ever. Carter will reprise her role as President Olivia Marsdin who, as an alien still hiding her true identity from the world, will probably be highly invested in taking down Agent Liberty and his anti-alien hate group known as the Children of Liberty.

Other new faces poised to drop by the upcoming season include April Parker Jones (The Last Ship, The Fosters) as Colonel Haley, Falling Waters' David Ajala as Manchester Black, and The Trans List's Nicole Maines as Nia Nal aka Dreamer, who breaks ground as TV's first trans superhero. They'll be joined by Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath) who was bumped to series regular.

Melissa Benoist will reprise her role as Kara Danvers aka Supergirl alongside Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor and David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz. Winn (Jeremy Jordan), who heads off to the future to save the world with his highly advanced technology, will be reduced to a recurring role, and Mon-El (Chris Wood) will not be a part of the new season at all.

Supergirl returns for Season 4 Sunday, Oct. 14 at 8/7c on The CW.
