Stan Lee to Guest-Star on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It's official: the godfather of comic book heroes is heading to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Stan Lee will guest-star on an upcoming episode of ABC's superhero series in a "big role," according to The Hollywood Reporter — a highly-anticipated cameo that executive producer Jed Whedon teased back in November during an interview with TVGuide.com.

No further details on the role are currently available, but Lee's appearance will likely occur in the episode that airs on Feb. 4, THR reports. (Lee, the former president and chairman of Marvel, also serves as an executive producer on S.H.I.E.L.D.)

This won't be the first time Lee has appeared in one of his offshoots. He's had small speaking parts in Marvel movies including The Avengers, the Iron Mantrilogy, and the first two Fantastic Four films. In addition, Lee has guest-starred as himself on The Big Bang Theory.
