Sophia Bush has officially entered the arena of the streaming wars. Deadline reports that Bush has joined the cast of the Love, Simon sequel series heading to Disney+.

The series will be set in the same world as the popular 2018 movie, following the story of a new student at Creekwood High named Victor (Michael Cimino). Bush's character will factor into the storyline of one of Victor's friends, Mia. Bush will play Veronica, Mia's father's new girlfriend, who is described as chic, sophisticated, and friendly. Mia can also be strong-willed and tough when she needs to be, and she runs a nonprofit dedicated to helping women, so this role sounds like the perfect fit for Sophia Bush.

Here's How You Can Get Paid to Watch Disney+

Disney+ gave this Love, Simon continuation a straight-to-series order back in April, with Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who wrote the original movie, attached as showrunners. A premiere date for the series has not yet been announced.

Disney+ launches on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
