Sons of Anarchy Books Lea Michele for Final Season Guest Spot

Lea Michele is heading to Charming! The Glee star will appear in the sixth episode of Sons of Anarchy's final season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

According to a rep for the show, Michele will play Gertie, an empathetic truck stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma during a difficult time. Michele broke the news on Twitter Monday:

Michele joins previously announced Season 7 guest stars Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson. This isn't the first time creator Kurt Sutter has turned a singing starlet into something darker on his show: High School Musical alum Ashley Tisdale guest-starred on Season 5.

"I like to do some casting that's a little bit outside the box," Sutter said recently during the show's Television Critics Association panel. "You know, from Stephen King to David Hasselhoff — we try to do stuff that's fun."

Sons of Anarchy returns to FX on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10/9c. Michele's episode will air on October 14. What do you think of her casting?
