Snooki's License Revoked After Car Accident in Italy

Maybe the mayor of Florence, Italy had a point when he placed all kinds of restrictions on the cast of the Jersey Shore. While filming the MTV show's fourth season in Italy, Nicole "Snooki " Polizzi crashed her vehicle into a police car Monday and was subsequently taken into custody, TMZ.com reports.

Sources say "zero alcohol" was involved in the crash. One witness says the accident ended up with the vehicle Snooki was driving wedged between a police car and a highway protection wall. After the accident, Snooki's castmate Deena Nicole Cortese, who was riding in the passenger seat, allegedly had to exit the car via its window, because of the positioning of the vehicles.

The Jersey Shore star had her license revoked and now faces a possible civil suit from the two police officers who landed in the hospital with minor injuries following the crash.

"It was nothing serious and they have been released, but they will not be back at work for a week," a Florence police spokesman tells US Weekly. Under Italian law, the officers have up to 90 days to decide whether to take civil action against Snooki.
