SNL: Hillary Clinton Did an Impression of Donald Trump, and It Was Amazing

She totally stole the show from Miley

Liz Raftery

Saturday Night Live didn't pull any punches in its Season 41 premiere this weekend, skewering everyone from Josh Duggar to Jared Fogle to most of the Republican presidential hopefuls.

SNL's writing staff also performed the impressive feat of having their political material be more memorable than anything host and musical guest Miley Cyrus did on stage. The episode included a memorable cameo by Hillary Clinton, who appeared alongside her impersonator, Kate McKinnon, and gamely accepted criticism about her position on gay marriage - which landed even more sharply given that McKinnon is an out lesbian.

Check out highlights from the episode below, including Clinton's amazing impersonation of Donald Trump (which might have been even better than Taran Killam's).

The best SNL cast members of all time, ranked

Donald and Melania Trump Cold Open: Taran Killam debuts his Donald Trump (which we'll likely be seeing more of in episodes to come), alongside Cecily Strong as his wife Melania, who wants to clarify that her husband doesn't hate women or immigrants.

Miley Cyrus Monologue: Miley pays tribute to all the people who made this summer what it was, including Jared Fogle, Rachel Dolezal, Kim Davis, and the dentist who killed Cecil the Lion.

Abilify for Presidential Candidates: The wives of presidential hopefuls Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee and Jim Gilmore are thrilled to finally have a solution for their husbands' delusions.

Hillary Clinton Bar Talk: Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon) discusses her campaign woes with a sympathetic bartender named Val (Hillary Clinton). Come for the cameo, stay for the singalong.

The Squad: What will the future look like once the entire population has joined Taylor Swift's squad?
