Smash may have gotten axed by NBC last May, but the show's music lives on.

Hit List, one of two fictional in-the-works musicals from the drama series, is set to make its real-life stage debut this December, The New York Times reports.

The cast will feature former Smash stars Jeremy Jordan (Jimmy), Andy Mientus (Kyle) and Krysta Rodriguez (Ana). No word yet if the actress behind Hit List's leading lady, Katharine McPhee, will also participate. However,  there will also be "special appearances by several of Hit List's composers and additional performers to be announced at a later date," according to the newspaper.

Broadway lounge 54 Below will showcase Hit List for one night only on Dec. 9. The musical, which was only seen in snippets in various episodes, is described as "a modern fable about identity and the price of fame" that "tells the tragic love story of a wannabe pop singer who transforms herself to become a star and the hidden songwriter she uses to get there — but at what cost?"

In addition to the songs made famous on Smash, this special performance will also include additional tunes that were intended for Hit List, but never made it to air.

Hit List was introduced in the second season of the show as an edgier, Rent-like alternative to Bombshell, Smash's original fictional musical about the life and loves of Marilyn Monroe.
