Sissy Spacek Joins John Wells Drama

Coming off a multi-episode arc on HBO's Big Love, Sissy Spacek is heading to CBS for another TV gig.

Skeet Ulrich joins CBS drama pilot

The Oscar-winning actress has joined CBS' John Wells-produced medical drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The untitled series follows a mobile team that travels the U.S. treating patients. Spacek will play their leader, who's also battling cancer.

Spacek will star opposite Skeet Ulrich, Janeane Garofalo, Rachelle Lefevre and Amy Smart.

Janeane Garofalo joins John Wells' medical drama

The 60-year-old actress took home the Academy Award for her performance in 1980's Coal Miner's Daughter. She's been nominated five other times, including for her work in Carrie, The Riverand In the Bedroom.
